Sam’s Pizza started small. Even though Sam’s Pizza is today one of the best well-known restaurants in Iowa City, a closer look at our history reveals that we started a small restaurant more than two decades ago. Terry French, who doubles up as the owner and CEO of Sam’s Pizza bought the restaurant in 1991 before relocating the business to Gilbert St, Iowa City, a block further north from where the original restaurant was. Terry’s dream of distributing the best pasta in Iowa City came true since as of today, the restaurant’s pasts are without a doubt the best in Iowa City. Beginning as a small company only managing to distribute small quantities of pasta in Iowa City, such is not the case today.
